INTRODUCTION

The authors are principals of Sweetnam Godfrey and Ord Pty Ltd, an Architecture and Planning consultancy specialising in facilities planning and facilities management support.

The paper describes a computer based information system for facilities planning and management, developed by the company, and now adapted and implemented in a number of different contexts for a variety of client organisations in Victoria.

The paper outlines the rationale underlying our approach to this area of facilities planning consultancy, the structure of the information system employed and a number of specific application configurations in use by our clients.
